I cannot thank Steve enough for his guidance throughout this past month. Patient, kind, friendly and encouraging; I couldn't have asked for a better teacher!
I'd switched from having lessons from Liverpool to having them closer to home, with Steve who was so accommodative and understanding of my situation.
Passed my test today and am proud of the driver Steve has taught me to be - would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone! Once again, thanks so much to you, Steve. Have not only gained a driving license but a friend, too! :)
Thank You so very much Stephen. I cannot speak more highly of you. I will recommend you to my daughter who is 17 soon, and to all my colleagues at work.
Tira.
Stephen, I cannot thank you enough. You remember how bad a driver I was when I came over from India. I have learned so much!! And now.. I have gained a full UK driving licence. So happy.. Anupam
Singh.
I found Steve on the internet, I sent an email and within days everything was set. In 3 days Steve brought me up to test standard and within 4 I had passed. Easier roads to learn on than London and
its cheaper." Terry.T. London.
Hi Steve,
Thank you very much for all your help teaching Ray to Drive, we are so please he has passed and it's all thanks to you.
I will certainly use your services again as when required and would not hesitate to recommend you. Thanks again. Chris.
I started at square 1 with Steve and he was completely patient whilst I was learning. He wasn't just a driving instructor, he was a friend who pushed me in the right direction to pass first time in
my theory and practical. As soon as I told him when my theory was he was straight on the phone to see how I had done. He was completely supportive of me through my driving experience and this I am so
thankful for. Rob Graham.
Welcome to Andy1st driving school in Stoke-on-Trent. Here we will help you with all aspects of driving from choosing your instructor to furthering your experience after you’ve passed your test. It’s an exciting time, learning to drive and we’re here for you every step of the way. Feel free to contact us at any time if you are hesitant about anything and need to put your mind at ease. We will briefly cover the types of courses we offer and move on to give you valuable information which supports our commitment to reducing road traffic accidents.
We offer regular lessons and intensive courses. For those of you who are not familiar with such courses, they are just that – intense! The course involves a week or two of daily non-stop driving, simply bulking all of the lessons you would have had into one short stretch. This is useful if you need to learn quickly. Taking a week holiday from work or using your college / university holiday time is an ideal way of learning and passing quickly. This type of course, for many reasons, isn’t for everyone and so if you wish to take regular, usually weekly lessons, then we offer this too.
We can teach in automatic and manual transmission cars and we have both male and female driving instructors. Our instructors have all been trained to the necessary industry-led standard and provide an excellent and professional level of tuition. We tailor make all of our learning packages with you in mind and they will depend on any experience you have, the speed and way in which you learn and factoring in any additional needs you may have. We don’t believe in a “one size fits all” style of tuition as we all differ so much. We can provide lessons at times that are convenient to you and we can pick you up and collect you from a place that makes learning to drive much easier for you. We understand that life is busy and that fitting everything in is difficult and so we try our best to make it accessible for all.
All of our instructors are ADIs – Approved Driving Instructors. All ADIs much reach certain high standards of instruction which are set and monitored by the Driving Standards Agency (DSA). The DSA checks ADIs regularly to assess their ability to help their pupils become safe drivers.
They will be given one of the following grades after their standards check:
Before 7 April 2014, ADIs were assessed in a different way, and given a grade from 0 to 6. They will still use these grades until they have been re-assessed under the new system. All of our current instructors have been graded a grade 5 or grade 6.
Below we have detailed several junctions or areas where we have, from Government data, noted a large number of accidents locally. This is not meant to worry you or cause you to avoid these areas. It is to highlight possible hotspots for collisions and for you to practice with your instructor especially if they form part of your regular route somewhere. Take the time to familiarise yourself with these areas, get used to them and build up your confidence when tackling them.
Firstly, Hill Street and the junction where it meets Hepworth Street is littered with accidents. Take extra care on the Queensway (A500) where it meets the B5045 Shelton New Road. Following the Shelton New Road along, take care where it meets North Street as a large number of accidents occur there. Finally, the main Leek Road leading to Lichfield Street near Asda and Dunelm is particularly notorious for bumps and scrapes
