Here at Andy1st driving school in Worcestershire we pride ourselves on delivering an incredibly high standard of driving tuition. We have created a winning combination of tailor made driving instruction with fun and exciting learning packages. We will design a package that is just right for you and one that fits your budget and your lifestyle. We love teaching people to drive and strongly believe that anyone who wants to have a go, should do just that. So, we are committed to making our lessons accessible for all regardless of your commitments or specific needs.
Our pupils are all different which is why we prepare a package specifically tailored to your learning style and pace. What you might find easy, someone else will find hard and vice versa. Our instructors will take time getting to know you and seeing how much experience you already have, that way they spend valuable time on the areas where you need more support. Lesson time is never wasted at Andy1st and nor does anyone else share your lesson time. Going at your speed and teaching in a style that you relate to and react well to delivers fantastic results for both our instructors and our pupils.
We offer a “pay as you go” way of learning where you pay when you have a lesson. You can get a discounted rate on these if you book in advance. We also run intensive courses for those who need to learn in a hurry. They are intense but depending on previous experience, you could learn and pass in as little as a week. It’s simply down to personal preference which course you wish to take but if you are a nervous driver and have no experience of driving at all, you may find the intensive course a little tricky. A steadier, more methodical course might be better.
We have both male and female driving instructors and can teach in both manual and automatic transmission vehicles. Our cars are maintained to a very high standard and are safe, comfortable and reliable. We have driving instructors all over the country, all of whom are DBS checked and qualified in line with the industry-led guidelines. They are passionate about what they do and are professional at all times. They understand how hard it is for us to fit all these things into our lives and so are flexible in when they provide lessons.
We provide support and guidance to both our instructors and our pupils and one way of doing this is providing valuable data about the local roads you will travel on during your lessons and afterwards. We highlight roads where there are tricky junctions to negotiate, where there are a high number of collisions and where practice may prove invaluable. This data isn’t meant to unnerve you and we do not want you to avoid these areas. We simply want you to be aware of them and apply extra care and attention when travelling those routes.
There have been many reports of accidents happening on the B4204 Martley to Broadheath Road, so many in fact that a recent local newspaper report questioned whether it was the most dangerous road in Worcestershire. Collisions seem to happen along the whole stretch as there are black spots in many parts. Drivers are warned to take it slowly, use headlights in low light and keep your concentration at all times.
In addition, Worcester itself has its fair share of collisions. Another notorious area is the area of Shaw Street, Sansome Street and Forgate Street. There are a lot of accidents there so ensure you get in lane and apply extra caution. Near The Hopmarket is the junction of Sansome Walk and City Walls Road. This again is lettered with collisions so due care and attention is required in this area.
Around Worcestershire is the very busy M5 motorway. Driving on the motorway can be a very daunting experience after you’ve passed your test. We offer PassPlus courses which is a course specifically designed for new drivers. One of the lessons gives you valuable experience of driving on a motorway.
We look forward to hearing from you and starting this exciting journey with you.
