I had Kul as my instructor, she's patient, calm and friendly, but can also give you that confidence boost if and when you need it. I passed first time thanks to her and I can highly recommend her to anyone who's wanting to learn to drive.

I had Kul as my instructor and i quote from my driving test that i passed with 3 minors - "who ever has taught you has done such a good job, credit to them".

The lead up to my test i had a couple of instructors being in different locations but none of them could match up to the standard of Kul. She is such a patient and calm instructor. Very happy to explain something to me in detail.

Kul's preparation and approach on developing me as a driver was her top priority and she has her own folder with diagrams and explanations that she went through when i was struggling.

I would definitely recommend Kul for anyone. Thanks Kul!

I've had kul for a few months, been with a few instructors before I joined her. I rate her a 10 out 10 and recommend her to any one.
I spent 33 hours with kul and I passed with 4 miners first time. Thank you for the time you spent with me.

There are many different ways you can choose to learn to drive. Some people prefer the traditional, more methodical way of learning; regular lessons. These can be taken, usually weekly, to help spread the cost of your lessons. The average number of lessons required to pass a test are between 40 and 50 (hours) but that differs depending on the amount of previous experience you have or not. We are all different and learn in different ways and at different speeds. Weekly lessons will mean it will take a longer time to pass but as mentioned, this is perfect if you want to spread the cost.

The other way to learn is to take one of our intensive courses. These do exactly what it says on the tin! You learn everything you would do if you took regular lessons but you bunch all the lessons together and take them in one go – usually over the period of a week or so. It means that you will be driving all day, every day for the required amount of hours your driving instructor deems necessary. This sounds quite intense – it is! That’s why the course is called an intensive course. You will literally have to eat, sleep and breathe driving for that set time. This type of course is ideal if you want or need to learn quickly. You could be learning and passing your test within a week – simply book a week off work to do it. Lots of our pupils take time out of their educational holidays to learn in readiness for going to college or university later in the year.

However you choose to take your lessons, you can be assured that you are being taught by some of the best driving instructors in the country. We have only the best instructors working for us and they provide an exceptional standard of tuition. They are kind, helpful and professional at all times and are willing to pick you up and drop you off at a time and a place that is convenient to you.

Not only will we provide you with all the skills necessary to become a safe and confident driver, we will help you through your theory test too. Our instructors are passionate about what they do and are always looking for people who are eager to realise their dream of driving and owning their own car. They want to help with all aspects of driving and are fully committed to helping you stay safe at all times. They will share with you observation techniques and hazard perception tips which will help when you’re out there driving on your own. It sounds a bit strange but here at Andy1st we analyse data that shows us if there any accident hotspots locally. This helps our instructors and our pupils in a variety of ways. Our instructors can focus attention on those troublesome areas and help pupils practice them to build up their confidence. We don’t want you to avoid these junctions or areas, quite the opposite! We want you to tackle them to get used to them and be confident when you approach them. Becoming familiar with them and having the confidence to make decisions at them will ultimately keep you safe.

This is by no means an exhaustive list but here a few areas around Telford to watch out for.

Firstly, Greyhound Hill and its approach onto Greyhound Roundabout over the Queensway (A442) need to be approached with care. There have been quite a few accidents in this area. Also, Stafford Street at the junction of Priorslee Road is littered with collisions of all types, slight and serous. Telford Way (A5) and the Holyhead Road at the island of Priorslee Avenue is another stretch to look out for. It is imperative to know which lane you need and be very conscious of how much and how fast traffic is moving around that island.  Queensway (A442) and the junctions with Stafford Park 12 (A464) and Queen Elizabeth Avenue can also be a bit troublesome as can the island at the A5 over Queensway and Hollingsgate.

Please pay attention when approaching all of these areas and stay safe.
