Here at Andy1st driving school, we pride ourselves on delivering an exceptional standard of tuition. We are committed to providing exceptional service to all our pupils at all stages of the learning process. Right from your first contact with our administration team you will receive all the help and guidance you need to embark on this exciting journey. Learning to drive can be nerve-racking for some people especially if they have never driven before or they have had a previous negative experience. Please do not worry! Our instructors are quite used to teaching nervous drivers and will guide you gently through whilst building up your confidence at the same time.
Luton is a large town in Bedfordshire and has many places of interest to visit. The reasons for people learning to drive vary dramatically but whatever your reason is, passing your test is one of the best feelings ever – ask anyone who has done it! Some people learn out of necessity; they need to get around to care for relatives, take children to school or because their job requires it. Some people simply learn for fun and convenience. Just being able to get up out of the chair, pick up your keys and drive somewhere is a very satisfying feeling.
So, how do we begin? Well, firstly, you’ll need to get your provisional driving licence and then give us a call. We’ll assign an instructor to you who will know the area very well and you can both arrange a mutually convenient day and time to meet. They will take time out to assess your skills, your experience and the style and pace at which you learn. This will form an integral part of planning your driving lessons in Luton. Our instruction is a little different as we don’t just deliver the same training to everyone, we tailor it to individuals. This method of tuition has certainly reaped rewards for both our instructors and pupils alike. Time and money is not wasted on going over and over things you have already mastered but instead that time is spent honing areas where you need more direction and focus.
You may want to spread the cost of your training and learn at a more constant pace. If so, the weekly lessons would be more suitable. If you already have some experience, have a block of time available or need to learn in a hurry, then you can discuss taking one of our intensive driving courses in Luton. This type of course is not for the faint hearted! It requires a lot of driving in a very short space of time. This type of course wouldn’t suit those who are lacking in confidence and very nervous.
Our instructors will put you at your ease and guide you through the process. They won’t get angry or upset if you make mistakes and they will go at your preferred pace. They will know the area well and be able to familiarise you with roads you are likely to travel down both on your test and after the L plates have come off! We also provide collision data which sounds like a rather strange thing for a driving school to look into but it helps both instructors and pupils alike. Here’s how.
After analysing the data, we can ascertain where many of the accidents locally occur. That way, you can familiarise yourself with them, practice them and your instructor can offer advice at how to approach them. Applying extra care and attention will help and knowing where these roads are will give you a “heads-up”.
So, around Luton, the most troublesome areas are as follows:
The A505 Dunstable Road where it meets the A6 near the Luton-Dunstable Busway has a raft of collisions spanning that stretch. Also, Dallow Road with the junction of Brantwood Road is also classed as a hotspot. Please take extra care on Windsor Street specifically where it meets Farley Hill. There’s are large spot on Windmill Road, Park Viaduct, Lea Road and St. Mary’s Road that needs watching out for too. The final junction to take extra care on is the Old Bedford Road at the junction of North Street near the Supermarket. Please familiarise these areas and practice when you can. The experience will only help once you’ve passed your test.
